I wanted a large figure to dominate my Halloween display. I made this quickly and decided not to get fussy about smooth skin and perfection, monsters can be scruffy! I embedded a chocolate fountain in the chest for a bit of movement with flowing red blood, and the heart and eyes have hidden lights. I used large boxes and PVC pipes for a frame, then newspaper and a whole load of tape to shape features. This was traditional craft glue and paper mostly, but I experimented with wood glue to make the monster’s ‘skin’ stronger a little faster. It was such a fun project and I’m looking forward to October 31st!

Wow – the stitches, the glass eyes, and the flowing blood … What a wonderful, scary monster for Halloween! Thanks for showing him to us. 🙂
