Two different size swimming pool noodles cut for vertebrae and disc armatures, cardboard for vertebral-wing armatures. All covered with air-dry clay and spray painted.

Love the hand coming around the spine. It just makes this sculpture. The finish looks like granite. Great job!
Love Harry Rosen’s work! Much like the look I attempt to do. I love his work so much that I did a Google search for him. Is this the same Harry Rosen listed as a dentist/sculptor in Canada? I certainly hope not as his obituary was online.
Very clever and a great addition to a chiropractic office! You spray painted it….with what? It looks great.
Eileen,
I often spray paint with either Krylon stone coarse “black granite” or Rustoleum stone”sienna”. Both are sold at Home Depot and Michael’s. Both hide minor flaws very well! Harry
Clever and funny. I “think” the fingers are saying, “No, here! Work here!”
Thanks.
Hi Jonni
I was wondering if you ever tried flocking on any of your sculptures. Just thought I would check with an expert, you, before I wast a lot of time and materials. Appreciate any help or ideas you can share with me. Keep up your excellent work, know it is appreciated.
Sincerely, Mae reed
I haven’t tried it, but it sounds like fun. I can’t see why it wouldn’t work, if you know how to do it. I don’t, though. Let us know how it turns out! 🙂
Harry, I always enjoy seeing your work, but this one really made me laugh. What fun! I managed a chiropractic clinic for several years, a very long time ago, and our docs would have loved this sculpture as much as I do. Is the spine playing air guitar? 🙂
