Hi! I just wanted to share this chrysalis I did for an exhibition under the theme of “Movements”.
My piece was to symbolize the emotional and psychological movements. Just like the caterpillar transforming into a magnificent butterfly, during the course of our lives we have the opportunity to transform ourselves. We have the chance to become who we really are deep down.

Hi Mélynda. This is certainly a unique sculpture – and I love the surface treatment. I get the feeling that something alive is about ready to break out, because it looks like like light is seeping out through the cracks. Is that real light, or paint? Whichever it is, it looks great. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
