I mixed some Paynes grey into the paper mache clay but I’m wondering whether to paint it to look like a bronze.
I think bronze would be great also. I painted mine with an undercoat of Burnt Sienna, then added a wash of Burnt Umber, and then a very light wash of green to dull the bright brown.
We do want to see it finished. I think you are good. If I remember correctly, I painted one white, but . . .

Bronze it is. I need to fill and smooth then paint. I have some acrylic gold paint, can anyone suggest what to mix with it to create a bronze look?
John, I think he would be wonderful in bronze! Have you finished it already? We’d love to see how it looks when it’s done, no matter how you decide to finish it. 🙂
