I absolutely love this. I was in Kenya last month and there was a 4′ tall giraffe I wanted to purchase but it was WAY too expensive. Of course, they did not realize I am a missionary and have very little $$. LOL…. I’ve been trying to figure out how to make the full size. I love you did this but do not see a pattern for the full-size giraffe. Only the bust one that sits on the table. I purchased one of your bundles and look forward to creating them. Thank you for being so generous with your talents and skills and creating all the wonderful videos that you do. Much appreciated.
Hi Kimberly. Sharon, one of our readers, made her giraffe using the giraffe head pattern – but she made the body by herself, and didn’t send in photos of the process she used to make it. Quite a few people have made giraffes with body and legs, but they were figuring it out as they went along so they don’t have patterns to share. Lezlie wrote a tutorial for us, though. You can see it here. She didn’t give us exact dimensions, but you can get a good idea about how she did it. If you search for ‘giraffe‘ and scroll through the pages, you can see a lot of examples by folks who have done it themselves. I haven’t actually tried it yet. 🙂
