Made by Mia Natas
This mask/ character is based on an illustration my brother had done. Around the same time, I found Jonni’s paper mache videos on YouTube and became dead set on trying to make the mask using her videos as a guide. Finally found my excuse to do so when creating my character, Miss Ipswich, for a local renaissance fair. It worked perfectly! It has a great weight to it (heavy enough to be durable, but light enough to wear for long periods). Even gave a nature, lumpy bone like color and texture with a little bit of sanding. The whole outfit was a hit, especially the mask! Absolutely love it and will be definitely using this in future projects!

How delightfully creepy…I absolutely love it! Be ready for everyone asking to have their photo taken with you.
What a great character – and a wonderful mask. Thank you for showing it to us. I’ll bet you got a lot of attention at the fair. 🙂
