Made by Janice Erickson
I made Lily several years ago and have posted pictures of her before. Her head, of course is made from Jonni’s Giraffe pattern. The rest of her is from pool noodles, styrofoam, plastics, tin foil, wood, paper, wire, rope, etc. Every layer I made was waterproofed and sealed. Her finally three coatings, before I painted her, is cement. She weighs in at 70 plus pounds and stands 8′ 5″.
I made her, thinking I would put her outside in one of my flower gardens. However, living in northern Minnesota, we have a neighborhood bear that enjoys walking around, knocking things over. I knew I would be horrified if anything happened to Lily, so she lives in our living room.

You found the perfect spot for her, Janice. Thanks for letting us see how she turned out. What an impressive project! Thanks for sharing the progress posts previously, too – and for showing us how you made her in two pieces. She really turned out nice. 🙂
