WIP Corgi…

Made by Carol Brown

Why do I agree to take commissions? Anyway, this little guy is ready for fur. The plan is to give him a very thin coat of paper mache clay and use joint compound for the fur. I’m hoping I can get it to look as fluffy as the pictures I have been supplied with. I am pretty pleased with the form, which is the usual cardboard, foil and tape. Crossing my fingers. 🙂

  1. Thank you, Pat! I actually love the paper strip process, especially using the cooked flour paste. I got brave and did the fur on his back end, not bad. I submitted a photo just now. Feeling a lot more confident now. ?

  2. Can’t wait to see how your Corgi comes out. I use paper strips a lot and have combined that with partial Paper mâché clay. I think your plan sounds like it should work well. Good luck!
