Surprisingly, the most difficult part of this one was the painting. Brown craft paper base, paper clay, dry wall compound to smooth. I used fondant moulds for the filigree and puffy paint for additional accents.

What type of clay or other material did you use in the fondant molds that works and releases? That is a great idea!!
I used a mixture of 1/2 regular paper clay and 1/2 joint compound. THe moulds were silicone so I didn’t need a release agent.
