Made by Jon Keller
The Penny Farthing . The bike is wood and paper with an acrylic polymer clay seat . For the tires I painted some white braid black and then glued it around the paper rims. The figure is paper mache on a wood , wire and foil frame . The hat is acrylic polymer clay . For the pattern on his suit I drew a plaid design on a few sheets of 8” x 11″ inch paper ( using Prismacolor pencils ) , then I “wallpapered” it on to him . His cane is a bent piece of a knitting needle . The buttons are leather discs , cut with a hole puncher .

What a great sculpture, Jon. I love all the information you shared about how you made it, and the “wallpapered” suit idea made me smile. It worked perfectly. Thanks for sharing your work with us. 🙂
