I had made an oval shaped paper mache form for a previous project that I ended up not using , so I figured I would use it in another piece . It took me a while to decide what to make with it , but because of it’s shape I decided a large fish would be do-able . I added the baby fish to make it more interesting . What is unusual about this piece is that there is no armature , except for the wooden base it is entirely made of paper mache . I painted it with acrylic paint and finished it with matte varnish .
