Last week was Book Week in Australia. Children all across the country dress up as their favourite book character to celebrate their love for books. Our daughter wanted to be Sunrise the Wolf from Ahn Do’s Wolf Girl series (Ahn Do is a fantastic Australian children’s author, artist and comedian).
As you can see, Sunrise is golden yellow with a distinctive black diamond on her forehead. We tried to create some texture by smearing the mask with quick-dry plaster before painting it.
What a great costume! I haven’t read the books, so I had to look them up – your daughter’s mask and costume looks just like Sunrise! And now I’m hooked – I ordered the first book in the series. 🙂
