I made a Dachshund but I think he has some Springier in him. I did not even think about it but this dog is in Toy Story. None the less, I wanted to see if I could make a dog in this style. I think he works. I did pick up two more car springs and I am not sure of what I will make of them. I do live on a small lake………………….maybe a fish??????

Thanks for your kind thoughts. I have not quite fallen in love with it yet. It is something that I had to try.
Thanks!!!!! Sorry, not much talent here. I love to look at metal art on Pinterest. Then I think of what I have and try to make my version. I am glad that you like it. So often I make things and then I can not sell it. I had a dog like this where all the parts just slid into slots. I thought it was cool but no one would buy it.
Thanks!!!! I am glad that you like the dog. Since the spring is sort of long I just had to make a Dachshund. I like it when you look at a piece of art and you know what it is right away. ???????
Is it paper mache (except for the spring of course)? And where did you get the spring? Is is metal?
No, it is all metal. The spring is off a car. They are under pressure and a little dangerous to get off the strut if you do not have the tools. I am glad that you like him. Jonni wanted me to post it even though it is not paper Mache.
Very unique. You must have a very creative mind.
Thanks!!!!! The truth is, I am not very artistic. I get inspired by other peoples work on Pinterest. I, like Jonni, use pictures of real animals so that I can make my parts proportionately.
I love these somewhat abstract sculptures. You know immediately what it is but you have to keep looking to take in the materials used and all the curves. Great job!
Thanks!!!! ???? I like it when you know what you are looking at, a dog. Some people take common objects to make art. Those are fun to because you can look ate and guess what all the parts are; a fork, a spoon, a wrench, a vegetable can or whatever they could find. This was just a car spring and I have a plasma cutter to make all the rest of the parts.
I’m just blown away by your talent. Your sculptures are so life like. It is a joy to see. Just had to drop you a comment on such a beautiful work .
