A dog puppet (Spot, the dog) was required for “Shakespeare in Love” at our local theatre. I used the Hyena pattern and amended it (different ears, longer nose and a few other tweaks). I roughly paper mached it the conventions way with strips of brown paper and PVA as I was not worried about a smooth finish as the puppet would be covered with fur. Such a joy to complete the project. On to the next one … 6 hounds for the Tempest – using the wolf pattern as a base.
WOW!!! Your Spot turned out fantastic. That fur is so real looking I want to reach out and pet Spot. Congrats!!
