My favorite new art book…
I am so excited about this book about sculpting with cardboard it that I had to let you know about it. It is written for students, but older artists will enjoy the projects, too. And you don’t have to stop with just cardboard – the shapes he shows us how to make would also make great forms for paper mache.
Links to books mentioned in the video:
- The Paper Sculpture book that I recommend for younger artists (Right after this post was published, the price of this out-of-print book on amazon.com went from around $10 to $146! If you’d like to read it, see if your local library has a copy, or put it on your wish list until it comes back down to a reasonable price. Other online sellers might also have an affordable copy, and as I write this there’s one for sale on eBay.
- And if you want to stick with paper mache, read my book, Make Animal Sculptures with Paper Mache Clay
I also included some other resources for sculpting with cardboard, including a link to an inexpensive online course, in my latest weekly newsletter. You can see it (and sign up for the newsletter) here: https://www.ultimatepapermache.com/newsletter
