My recently departed friend and paper artist, Marion Melody, created a series of paper pressings of manhole covers from around Michigan. Her daughter contacted me and asked if I would like one of her pieces. Of course I jumped at the opportunity to have a piece of her life’s work. The sail boat at the center is a from St. Clair Shores, MI , a local sailing area. I am a retired sailor. River’s Edge Gallery in Wyandotte MI will feature her works during November 2020.
That is a treasure for sure. How lucky you are. Do you have to preserve it somehow? (That is a “hobby” I never would have though of, although I love looking at manhole covers!) Thanks.
