How to Make Your Ram Mask:
Print the pattern and put it on cereal box cardboard.
Cut out the pieces and tape them together, using the instructions included with the pattern as a guide.
Add paper mache, with newspaper or brown paper from amazon boxes.
Bring your ram mask to life with acrylic paint.

Finished size – About 12 inches (30.48 cm) high, 12 inches (30.48 cm) deep and 15 inches (38.1 cm) high, including the cap that fits over your head. It will fit an adult head, but the size can be changed by printing the pattern larger or smaller.

If You Make a Ram Mask With This Pattern…

Your work is fantastic. I am homeschooling my 14 year-old granddaughter and I wanted to do an art project with her. She picked up two of your patterns. The only question I have is: do they print out on 8 1/2 x 11“ sheets with a regular printer?
That should be a fun project for your granddaughter. 🙂 The patterns print on standard letter paper, 8 1/2 x 11. You can use copy paper and a glue stick to attach the patterns to cereal box cardboard, or print them on full-sheet labels and stick those on the cardboard. Either way will work, but the labels are easier.
Oh wow! I was looking for something like this for a long time. It’s fantastic! Could the head shape be altered to wear as a mask? Not adding the neck pieaces? Or is it too small?
That’s an interesting idea. The pattern would need to be printed larger than 100%, because it’s only about 5″ wide at the cheeks. I have a video about making the patterns larger here. The other problem is that sheep eyes are on the sides of their heads, so you’d need to make holes between the eyes in order to see out. It might be possible to use the neck pieces as a cap, so go ahead and tape them on before deciding if you need them or not. Have fun! 🙂

What fantastic works of art you make. We have already made a wolf mask that turned out very well. Now I would like to make two ram masks for my son’s schoolplay. Only they would like it for the face like with the wolf mask. Is this possible with this pattern?

Hi Marjolein. It might be possible if you printed it a little bigger and left the bottom open. You’d have to do some experimenting to get it to work, though. The biggest problem is that sheep have eyes on the side of their face, instead of in front, like we do. You’d need to make eye holes between the ram’s eyes, so the actors can see where they’re going. In other words – maybe it can work, but I haven’t tried it, so I’m really not sure.
