Made by Sabrina Sides
I made this moose using many of Jonni’s techniques. His innards consist of a Styrofoam large pop cup for the head, and a lot of paper mache and homemade paper clay. I experimented many times to get the antlers right and settled on a mix of wire, model magic which dries like a lightweight foam, and foil. He is named Raimo after my late grandfather from Finland, and I made him during the week after he passed.
Beautiful and stylized. His antlers look so smooth, as does the whole piece. I’ve never heard of model magic but I will look it up. Great job!! Congrats!!!
Sabrina,
Beautiful sculpture and beautiful memories!!!! You and your family should treasure it for a long time!

He is very elegant, I like the simplicity of his shape, beautiful.
What a rack on this guy! Nice use of recycled materials! Will you paint it or will he remain a ghost moose? Well done!
