This is a project I made for school. It’s a fantasy-animal. It has the head and neck of a giraffe, the body of a turtle, the legs of a spider and the tail of a dragon. This was my very first project of paper mache (and I’m only 18 years old). I think it looks pretty!

In the back of the animal are holes with little tubes in it so you can put some flowers in it.

I don’t know a name yet, so of you know something, just let me know!

  1. Very inspirational Jelina! The combination of animal parts is very imaginative. Is it hollow on the inside? What did you use for the armature? Great job on your first project, I can’t wait to see what you come up with next.

    • Hi! Thanks you like it!
I used a balloon as the base, then I used chicken wire for making the head and neck, the legs and the tail. I taped it to the balloon when it was completely dry.
So yes it is hollow inside and it doesn’t weight much.
I’ll definitely make another animal, but it will take a while to make it cause I have exams right now, but you can look on my blog if you want to, but it is written in dutch: http://mycrafblog.weebly.com/
I started this blog 2 days ago

      Thanks!
