Very sweet nativity…sort of reminds me of the willow tree figurines that are so popular. What a great way to help a child celebrate Christmas! Nice work.
I followed this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNXAJIJkbBo i then formed wings with the wire and attached them, leaving a 1 inch space between the back and the wings, so i could fill it later to stabilize them. Then I used air dried clay to hold them in place . I used tin foil on the armature. I then paper mached it, and then used joint compound over that and sanded it, primed and painted. Forgot to mention, i used tin foil for the blanket, i wrapped it around, used masking tape to secure the folds, i did it as one piece, but on the piece Im working on , i am doing it differently, i will do the blanket separately, finish painting the head, then paint the blanket, then secure, will give it a more finished look , very hard to get into the cracks to paint
