After finishing this project I have even more respect for those of you who are able to capture the likeness of a specific model. When a friend asked me to “do” Nalla as a gift for her nephew I almost said no since nothing I’ve done since starting with PM has looked anything like the original model or photo I worked from. She, however, is a VERY good friend so I gave it a go. Happily she is pleased with the end product, as is her nephew.
I used Jonni’s newest PM recipe which I really like working with. Also, there’s a bit more of a funny back story – I’ll share it when I finish my next (related) project.

Joanne, you caught the personality of Nala, and that’s much more important than getting all the whiskers in the right place. I can see why your friend and her nephew are happy with their new sculpture. It’s a lovely work of art. 🙂
