Made by Beverly Broderick
Thank you so much for the template. I used the pattern as my starting point. Then used cardboard, tinfoil and styrofoam to create his face. After I primed it, I used alcohol base paint to create the wood look. For the mane, I found wood colored paper drinking straws and cut up a broom. Thank you so much for inspiring me to try to make this. Next is Simba. 🙂
I love this stylized version of a lion, especially the mane. True art and great job!
Do you have this pattern? I purchased the other Lions pattern already. I would love to create Mufasa <3
Love this!
This is absolutely amazing!
Very cool.
Hi Beverly, that looks amazing! How did you make it look like wood?
Thank you for all the kind words. ?. I can’t wait to see the kids in my school wear the mask.
How exactly did you do this? I’m painting today and want to try this look it’s amazing
I looked up how to paint like woodwork n Alcohol paint is the answer! Make sure to prime the mask first. Good luck
It’s difficult to believe that isn’t wood. I love the mane. Nice twist.
Wow! It’s just like the broadway show! Fabulously done! What a prize to hang on your wall!
Wow! He so looks like he is carved out of wood. I love the way you have done his mane, it sort of looks like it is made from poison darts! Fantastic and original piece of work, can’t wait to see your next one!
