    • The checkered papers were used as a referral to the story of his life. It was fun to create and I appreciate your thoughts and kind comments.

    • Mr. Hare was born with a wild streak. He was notorious throughout the English countryside for ransacking the local farmer’s gardens, eating his way through their produce. When a ransom was put on his head, he headed for London where by chance he wandered into the most famous gardens of all, the Queen’s. He was met by the young Princess who befriended him. They became best friends and played in the gardens every day. He was taught table manners and soon became quite the refined hare. He dined only on the finest fresh sweet pears, honey- glazed carrots, and rare varieties of lettuce. He lived happily ever after and seldom recalled his checkered past.
