A year or so ago, I decided to make a snowman; however, Mother Abagail took over. I finally got her painted. It is a silly little project, but I do love her. (If anyone has suggestions how to get better skin tones, I would appreciate it.
I love Mother Abagail! She was meant to be and I like the skin tones. Special piece.
I love her. Our creations sometimes just tell us what they are going to be.
Hi Rex,
Love your mother Abagail. Real nice colors and love her skin tone.
So glad she took over.
I never read “The Stand”, so I had to look up Mother Abagail on the internet. I really like her face because she is deep in thought. I can see how originally she could have been a snowman, but it’s so interesting how you changed your vision when making her. The colors are vibrant too, and as for the skin color, I think you did a great job.
Thank you, Connie. She just sort of took over!
I don’t have any skin tone ideas, Rex, although I certainly like what you did with hers.
I can’t stop looking at her face. She looks so contemplative. I’d love to know her in real life, as I feel she’d be such a rich and wise soul to admire, love, and learn from.
She is a character from Stephen King’s book “The Stand.” She is wise and psychic, and I think your depiction of her is perfect. Thank you very much.
Oh my goodness, that makes total sense! I knew the name was ringing a bell! “The Stand” was a favorite, for sure, but it’s been a long time.
Well….I must say, you really made her come to life, Rex!
She took over once I got the “skirt” going! I love her character.
Thank you.
