Amazing clear cast resin or Pro marine tabletop epoxy resin. Takes about 4 hours to stop flowing, 12 hrs till you can touch it and 24 hours to fully cure.
The resin is just a clear epoxy (2 part) resin that can be bought at any craft store. It CAN be painted on. If you paint on it though, I would put another coating over the paint to protect it from scratching.
Even though you made a monster, he’s kinda cute too. He looks like he is saying “booga booga”. Fantastic job on the sculpture and painting.
Fabulous! Did you make the eye out of resin. I, too, would love to hear about the resin coating. Do you know if this would hold up outdoors?
I made they out of a clear glass cabochon and nail polish. Vids available on YouTube. The resin is a clear epoxy resin and I would NOT put it outside.
I love the effect of the resin over the clay!
Me too. It not only protects the piece but gives the paint a lustrous sheen, It also strengthens the piece.
Love!
Colors, shape, expression…what fun!
I too am interested in the resin, as I was going to experiment with that myself…please share you success!

Hi Jeffrey. I love your monster! Can you tell us a little about the resin you used? Is it a product that can be painted on?

Thanks, Jeffrey! 🙂
