I enlarged the size as I wanted a big moose for over my fireplace. Tweaked the antlers and they are heavy. Had to McGiver a support system inside with a pvc pipe and styrofoam supports.

Wow – very impressive! Using the pipe to reinforce the antlers was a great idea, and the white moose looks really nice on the blue wall. How did you make that nice fur texture on his neck and ears?
Well….i bought the wrong dry wall compound. Not DAP but must be his cousin. Instead of just throwing the batch away and going out in a snowstorm to get the right stuff I decided to use it as my “crumb” coat. I used the sticky nature to my advantage and dabbed the mixture on with a paintbrush. It would pull down into spikes kinda like fur, who knew! Then made a good batch the next day to do the smooth parts.

Hi Pam – I’ll jump in here in case Julie isn’t watching for comments on her post. I don’t know how she enlarged her pattern, but you can watch this video to see several ways to do it.
Hi. I enlarged the pattern through adobe and my printer set on 180%. Hope that helps. You’ll have to make an internal support for the antlers
