Made by Nikol Allin
Hi, I’d like to show you my lobster. The basic skeleton is wooden, then there is a layer of newspaper, papier mache, sheps and finally hours of sanding and painting and varnish π
This is the second lobster I have made for my customers.
Hope you like it π
When I started with paper years ago my main inspiration was Jonni. Thank you for that π
Nowadays I have my own processes and recipes, but I still occasionally check out what’s going on here.
Hi Jonni thank you! I sanded the lobster smooth first. Finally, I used an extra glossy acrylic varnish. I bought it somewhere in a sale for a few crowns and it’s great ? It’s a small sculpture, about 40cm.
Hi Nikol – how did you get that porcelain-smooth finish on your lobster? And how big is he? It’s a very interesting sculpture, and beautifully done. π
