I tried the little saw-whet owl Jonni showed us and I just love him but I needed a perch (and it was near Halloween) so pumpkin it was! I made the pumpkin with the cardboard form in a roll of paper towels then cut out 5 identical shapes and placed them around the tube, filled in with newspaper tape and PMC! I painted dollar store cabachons for eyes.
That little owl is adorable. He’s really checking out the pumpkin and wondering how it got all those checkered squares! Great job!
I love the whimsy and creative design of this piece!
What a challenge, painting all those little squares on the pumpkin….but well worth it!
Thankyou so much !
