A’ lass…. he is finally finished. and i love him.. Your pattern was a lot of fun to assemble and slowly but surely he emerged into the King of the Jungle. I used jute twine for his mane which was so time consuming as each strand was cut and hot glued on one piece at a time and then untwisted. I still have to put a seal coat on him, but I couldn’t wait to show you how he turned out….
Wow that mane is amazing! I ve used sisal twine before but never to the extent you have. Congrats on a great job!
Darlene, that is a great lion. A friend is trying to persuade me to make one, and you have a perfect face there. Great job.
And your mane is great. (I made a warthog and drilled small holes along his mane and glues each one in.) You have my sympathy! And did a million more than I did. Your patience is great and rewarding.
He is great! The mane is nice and full and he looks like a true king!
I love it, Darlene. You gave him such a nice, friendly expression. And I can imagine how long it took to create that mane! Your patience really paid off, though, because it looks wonderful.
