I am costuming for a production of The Lion King, and am so grateful for Jonni’s fantastic patterns!! Our cast has 26 ensemble hyenas (ages 8 – 18), in addition to Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed. I love that this pattern is so customizable, and each hyena can have its own personality using the same basic shapes/colors. I have included pictures of two ensemble hyenas, as well as the principal trio. I am no artist, but the construction of these makes it pretty simple to paint and have it look okay for the stage.
I can’t wait to move on to lions. I am so glad that you share your talents with us on the internet, Jonni, thank you!
