Another creature using Jonni’s air dry clay animals book. I really didn’t think I would be able to do this one that’s able to stand but does stand on its own.My son helped bend the wire for the legs so I thank him for the success! I am determined to do better and make another horse.
I love your horse. Keep trying and you will master it. 🙂
Horses and ponies are so hard to get right. You did an excellent job!
Thank you!
Hi Linda. Your pony came out really nice. I really love the mane and tail – how did you make them?
Hi Jonni, The mane is made with Thickened papier-mâché clay, two layers. Painted black, varnish, then brown and white and basically started alternating color With a stiff brush till it looks ok. The first two tails didn’t hold well Especially since it was in the way as I was building the hindquarters,so I just use cardboard,papier-mâché clay two layers (use ribbon too attach,Which works very good!) using a plastic card for hair texture.
Thanks, Linda. It sure turned out nice. 🙂
