jungle animals baby mobile

Made by Joanne Bookmyer

Hard to tell from these pictures but this is a baby mobile inspired by Eileen Gallagher’s tutorial. I used a 1-inch styrofoam ball for each animal so the animals are a little more 3-dimensional than hers. I had planned on painting them but didn’t like the way it looked so ended up using colored tissue paper over the paint. Finally, I did try hanging the animals from an embroidery hoop but it turns out I have no skills in the balance + patience area. So, I just hung them at different heights on a single wooden dowel. Hopefully I’ll find someone expecting a new baby to gift it to.

  1. Those are adorable animals! Thanks for the credit in your comment but there was no need! A child of any age would enjoy that in their room. Nice work!
