Jessie’s Chicken Painting is Heading to New Mexico!

Made by Jessie Rasche

If you haven’t met Jessie yet, she’s my (Jonni’s) daughter. She just sent the following note to her newsletter subscribers, but I wanted you all to see it, too (because I wanted to brag a little 🙂 ).  BTW, the chicken in the painting lives with me – remember when they were babies?

Hi Jonni and friends,

Just some quick news – I’m super excited that Colorful Chicken is headed to the AIS Small Works Showcase at Wilder Nightingale Fine Art in Taos, New Mexico!

Unless I’m forgetting something, this is my first time showing in the Southwest. So exciting! And my second year in a row having work accepted into this wonderful exhibit. Here’s a little from the letter:

“… promises to be another exceptional show, featuring 152 juried artworks created by some of the nation’s best impressionist artists. We received 1,304 entries for consideration…”

The show will open in May – and if you’re in the area, you are invited!

Thanks for your interest in my art, and have a great weekend! Click here if you’d like to see the article about me in the Southwest Art magazine, or come visit me on my blog to learn about upcoming studio stuff.

New Mexico is a magical place! Many artists live and work there. I was fortunate to spend time mingling with other Artists when I was there. Best Wishes for you and the Chicken Painting!
