Ada, I too am in the Texas hill country and have been inspired by the wildlife in the area. I went to a felting class to learn how to felt a fox and a jackrabbit in November for my Christmas tree, and they turned out cute, but now I want to go larger. After seeing Jonni’s papier-mache jack, I’m definitely going to give this a try. I think it would be so cute to have several in my tree next year.

Yes and the animals who run through here can catch you off guard: rabbits, foxes, coyotes, occasional mountain lions, feral hogs, beautiful deer (my next sculpture), turkeys, birds of all colors and types, porcupines(my dogs have experiences here they would rather not mention), armadillos, raccoon families . . .
