Made by Rhonda
I made this as a going away present for a friend. Painted with acrylics, then sprayed with matte finish. Then gave the eyes two coats of clear nail polish. He’s about 3″ tall and was mounted on a skewer to make work faster. His base and his arms, and his treat are cereal box cardboard. His ears are just regular copy paper. I applied clay to the inside and let it dry before I did the outside. I’ve done many variations of Jonni’s Bluebirds over the years and this little guy kind of morphed from the same process.
Your hamster is absolutely the epitome of cuteness! I love it! What a great gift.

This little guy is soooo cute. It makes me smile. What a wonderful gift! Great job!!
He’s so lush.. a happy project
You get an A+ for cuteness. I love what he is eating and how he cares about it. That is a priceless gift.
Thank you, Rex. He is eating a pumpkin seed, but I couldn’t get the color right. The friend I made him for would roast pumpkins seeds this time of year for her hamster.
Ah, yeah. All right. That is a good story. I like your friend better already! Thanks. I haven’t had a pumpkin seed in twenty years!
What a cutie! He looks like he is soft as a real hamster, not easy to do in paper mache!
Aww, thanks Eileen!
Sooooo cute!!! Good job!
