Made by Penelope Mason with her Grandchildren
My granddaughter decided she needed a dragon mask for Halloween this year – so she and grandma (me) decided to make one using Jonni’s patterns. We had fun! The pattern was great. My granddaughter designed and painted it, with the help of my 6 yr old grandson, and we absolutely loved it. There were a lot of laughs getting the pattern together but we did it. We used some old (I mean 40-50 years old) newsprint paper I had for the paper mache and used epoxy clay to keep the horns on really good. Great project!

Halloween dragon eyes –
Oh that was just my brilliant son-in-law using Pixomatic on the photo to make the eyes look like stars/lights.
We loved doing this project together. Your patterns are awesome.
It sounds like most of the family got to help – what a great project! Will the dragon get a permanent home, now that Halloween is over?
Oh yes. It’s sitting in a place of honor in her bedroom – the top of the toy chest! She gets up in the morning and it’s the first thing she sees. 🙂 I was just showing her your awesome llama with the beautiful eyes. Maybe we’ll get a chance to make another creature.
Great dragon, Penelope! I’m sure your grandkids will remember the experience of making it together, almost as much as the dragon itself. I love projects like this! But you must tell us – how did you get the eyes to light up? 🙂
