Made by Angie B
This was based on a lightning fixture created by a Milan based artist. I had to create two more pattern pieces to get a decent length, the chandelier was $40 on Amazon. After a lot of scientific thinking and creative mounting ideas, from flagpole holders, to picture frames I decided to just use wire to hang it on the wall, it is surprisingly light. I gessoed then painted it white but I really loved the joint compound stone look, either way it was extremely challenging, my first time making an animal with cardboard, using paper mache clay & doing anything like this!

Thanks Liz, Im grateful for the encouragement! Here is the original design I was considering $39,150 ?https://pin.it/1PrzlE1 thankfully I decided not to add the body
What a unique piece! I’ve never seen anything like it. You did a great job. I can’t believe this is your first piece. Congrats!! I think you’re on your way!
Thank you so much Pat! Now I am excited to make another baroque animal! Maybe an all white peacock ?, Jonni, I’d love a peacock pattern.
That’s brilliant! The giraffe’s face is beautifully rendered and you are the only person in the world with a giraffe chandelier. Congratulations!
Hi Angie. What an interesting idea! I agree that the joint compound texture works really well on your giraffe. I would love to hear the comments you get when guests come to visit and see it for the first time. 🙂
Thanks Jonni, I’ve had in mind to make this for about a year,. So glad I did! Tha k you for making this pattern!
