I really enjoyed making this mask. I first used traditional paper mache and then covered it with plaster cloth. I used Jonni’s gesso recipe to give me that smooth surface. This will be a baby shower gift.

Your giraffe is beautiful. I’ve never used Jonni’s gesso recipe so I will have to check it out.
What a great job. Now I have seen your finished giraffe I will definitely order the pattern.
Sandra did a great job on her giraffe, didn’t she? Enjoy making one of your own! 🙂
Lucky baby!
Beautiful Sandra, the marks look so natural. Nice job ??
Wow, that is good! Fabulous paint job
He’s lovely, Sandra. What a nice present for a baby shower! What is the fuzzy material that you used for the top of his ossicones?
Thank you Jonni. The fuzzy material is faux fur. I cut a very thin strip and wrapped it around the upper edge of his ossicones.
