I created the giraffe using the template and several references I found online.
It was for my daughter’s second birthday party. She adores animals, especially giraffes. So, I decided to make her a bunch of animals.
It was a lot of work to put together. The part I found most difficult was getting the head together, the mouth is relatively difficult even through I watched the video a million times. After succeeding I can pretty much do it in my sleep now, I think. Just joking, it was hard, but so rewarding after completing it. And it looks like a real life giraffe!
There are a ton of mistakes, but this being my first paper mache project and at this scale, I think it turned out wonderfully. Everyone at the party enjoyed it. Strangers too many pictures. And my daughter has it to enjoy now on a daily basis. Can’t wait ti try again.

Wow – your daughter must have been so excited when she saw the giraffe your made. What a great idea for a birthday party! And I hope the giraffe found permanent home, after the party was over. 🙂
