Made by Pia Blackwell
She is done for the most part just awaiting base and final coat of varnish . Gigi lived at the Franklin Park Zoo she was 47 years old . Her passing left a big void and when I saw the zoo’s post about her passing ,I made the offer to sculpt her and donate it to the zoo. Here she is ! Face done with Joni’s smooth paper clay hair etc with a cellulose clay I modified from an original receipe.
Beautiful work, beautiful memories, beautiful sentiment.
Gone but not forgotten.

What a wonderful gift to make and share to remember that special missed one. Her eyes here reflect a living spirit who will be missed by many.
