Flying tapir from a salt box!

Made by Jane Adamo

I cut the profiles of the head and 4 legs from corrugated cardboard, and taped them to the salt box; built them up with wads of newspaper, and then strip mache’d them. The tail is a “plume” of blue shop towel dipped in mache paste, on a straw! Ears are cut from cereal box cardboard.

Aren’t we lucky we found Jonni?!!!
