Sharing my dog ‘Fetch’ – made with cardboard, wire, regular paper mache (ie the newspaper strips and glue) and paper mache clay for the top layer and details. He’s holding a bit of driftwood I found on the beach. I’m loving making dog scuptures with paper mache and clay. I’m experimenting with different finishes and materials for different looks.
What a great little dog good idea with the stick he has retrieved . I like the colour of him as well. One day I will do a dog standing up!
Such character! Very nice job!
Thanks Eileen!
I love him! Experimenting is great because it is one of the ways we improve. If we all do what we know or what we feel is safe, we never grow or get any better. I always hesitate when it comes to painting mine as I think it will turn out to be a load of old rubbish but I watch loads of videos on different paint techniques and give them a go, if you don’t try you will never know! he’s so cute!
I love experimenting and doing what feels right for each piece. But I do hesitate to paint sometimes cause, like you, I think I’ll ruin something. 🙂 Have a go. I guess you can always paint over something in a solid colour!
