After reading Ferdinand at bedtime, my 3 year old decided he wanted to be Ferdinand the bull. In an effort to not buy a costume in a bag, I looked for a fun diy activity. Jonni’s pattern was easy to follow. While I had some issues using paper mache clay and making it look smooth (I’m a true beginner), I think it looks pretty great! I’m already looking forward to my next project!
At 57, “Ferdinand” remains as one of my favorite books of all time.
I like the texture – it gives your Ferdinand his fur!! And the added bit of fluff up by his horns is magical.
It really does look great, Liz. I can’t wait to see what you make next! 🙂
