Elephant Bank

I made a baby elephant piggy bank. I used a medium size beer barrel for the body. I drilled two holes on top of the beer barrel and one underneath. Then I put the pieces together to make the elephant head.

After I Filled the inside of the elephant head with insulation foam spray to make it hard and steady. Before the insulation foam spray dried up I inserted a thick wire behind each of the elephant ears and one wire underneath the elephant neckline, to be able to connect the wires on to the beer barrel holes.

I cooked corn starch and mixed emerald glue with the corn starch to make the paste. I did 6 layers of newspaper and added 3 layers of paper towels smearing it with the paste to give a steady and wrinkly complexion to the face and ears. Then I wrap sculpturing wire around the trunk.

I spray it with light brown primer. After the head and eyes were painted I did two coats of glossy Mod Podge for the final finish.
