Dragons for world book day

Made by Jacqui Stubbings

My 9yo has been reading Darwin’s dragons, which features a gold scaled dragon, he choose this for his costume for World book day this year. The patterns are ingenious and I found the video easy to follow. My youngest decided he wanted to be a dragon too! So I ended up making another for him. I used the tite bond 3 wood glue, and paper from Amazon boxes. Also ended up lining the inside bit where it touches the cheeks with soft felt, to make it more comfortable to wear. I am pleased I managed them in time, but feel I rushed the decoration stage. Boys are thrilled with them, another fabulous mask pattern. Thank you!

  1. Jacqui, I can see why your younger son wanted to be a dragon, too. I love the way you painted the masks, even though you felt like you were in too much of a hurry. The rhinestones were a great idea. Did you design the wings? Thank you so much for showing them to us. 🙂
