I’m giving out candy for the first time this year and I used the dragon mask template for my costume! It was a bit of a challenge to initially glue everything together but it was very very fun seeing him come together in the end 🙂
I made and added the “jewellery” with hot glue shaped onto some aluminum plates, they were also painted with some glow in the dark paint for fun!
I also didn’t add the optional crest and instead made some smaller spikes using the same technique for the horns. The nose horn is just a simple cardboard cone that was then hot glued on there because I couldn’t figure out how to do it easily with tape haha
Another thing I changed, it was a little finicky to get in there (with my trusty hot glue once again), is I made some little cardboard tubes for the nostrils instead of clogging them with aluminum foil. I’m not sure if it makes a huge difference though!
The tail I made with some very basic cardboard shaped attached with some little brass wires to make it articulated.. then a smaller piece at the base it just slipped into my pants to hold it in place.
Thank you for sharing and creating these fun designs for everyone! Your video guides are super simple and easy to follow, I was pretty much done making the mask in 5 afternoons, I just took forever to paint it haha

I’ve never commented on anything here before, just lurked. But WOW. Your artistry here is absolutely incredible. Every aspect of this is fantastic!!!
I so impressed with the jewelry, and the tail, and the beautiful colors and details – what a great dragon mask and costume! Your trick-or-treaters will love seeing it.
