Made by Frankie Williams
I was inspired by Jonni to make a prop for car shows where I show my themed 2017 Dodge Challenger R/T named Riddick because of the paint color- Pitch Black. I wanted a small bioraptor statue to display near or on the car but I couldn’t find one. Then I thought about paper mache and Googled it to get ideas, which was how I found Jonni.
I don’t remember if I came immediately to Jonni or if I was pointed here by other videos but I watched one, then another and another. I learned so much and decided I could do this! Using wire armature and cardboard and paper to fill out the body, I have gotten my bioraptor to this stage.
I need to smooth and texture his hide, and complete his teeth. There is still work to do but I intend to complete and paint the bioraptor in time for next year’s car shows.
I will have to hire someone to move him to the shows though. He sort of outgrew the capability of my Challenger to transport him. XD
Thank you Jonni for inspiring and teaching and sharing your knowledge. This crazy artsy car lady appreciates it very much!
What a fantastic sculpture! It looks amazing. Thank you so much for sharing it.
Wow – what a challenging project! It looks fantastic already, and I can’t wait to see how it looks when it’s done. I love the cute little figures sitting nearby, watching this very large, somewhat menacing creature being made. 🙂
