A creature from the video game “Don’t Starve”.
My partner and my son love the game, I don’t play but I very much enjoy the unique art style of the game. I saw this cute creature in the game who follows you around when you have the “Eyebone” item. You can put things into him and he acts as a portable storage chest.
He’s just made of cardboard and cereal box board hot glued together, with faux fur and fleece glued on top. His legs are just painted cereal box board. The horns and eyebone are cereal box and Styrofoam balls with a layer of paper mache strips and paste.
It was a fun quick project that was made with 90% scraps and junk, the only thing I actually purchased for it was the fur, which was only because I had forgotten that I had already used up my scrap brown fur.
I already have plans to make more items from the game ^__^
SO totally FUN!
I would love to have one of those – a real one, that carried the keys and chicken scratch around for you. 🙂
This was a great project, Leigh. Thank you so much for showing it to us. I hope we get to see the next one, too.
