Made by Evelyn Fischer
This is my first paper mache project. I downloaded the cat mask pattern, cut it out and assembled it. Then, I made a flour and water paste and paper strips to cover it. Once that was dry I covered it with Paper clay (the store bought kind) to smooth it out a bit. I did cut down the sides of the paper mask some and added styrofoam balls for the eyes. I had fun and now I’m ready to try making an armature and trying one of your recipes for paper clay. Thanks for the inspiration and excellent videos!

Can you send me a tutorial through my email? I have a task where I have to fuse two animals together and I chose a cat and a duck and the tutorial would help. Thanks a bunch 🙂
If you have specific questions I can answer it. I don’t create personal tutorial, though. Is that what you’re asking? If you want to add a duck’s bill to the cat mask pattern, you can do that by taping all the pieces together and then cut the shape of a duck’s bill. Tape it to the mask, and fill in the rounded forms with crumpled foil before adding your paper mache.
Your cat is beautiful! The way you painted it is absolutely perfect. Congrats!
Your cat is awesome. Those eyes are just mesmerizing along with the detail around the nose and mouth. Great job!
