It was a very fun project to make the pieces went together so easily but I’m not really sure about the paint I tried to paint same as Jonni did cause it looks so cool but i think that i didn’t get the reddish color so well and I really regret not using a heavy body gesso or the soft gel but I’m happy of how it turned out finally.

I have used chicken wire first to sculpt the medium to large size projects, then just apply the paper mache pieces, I also used newspaper.
